  1. Begin on one side of a clear room.
  2. Make an advancing step.
  3. Do a triangle step forwards. This involves a) bringing your back foot forwards to become parallel with your front, and b) bringing your (formerly) front foot out to the right or left side at 30 degree angle and reorienting yourself at the angle.
  4. Repeat steps 2-3 until you have crossed the room.
  5. Make a retreating step.
  6. Do a triangle step backwards. This involves a) bringing your front foot backwards to become parallel with your back foot, and b) bringing your (formerly) back foot out to the right or left side at 30 degree angle and reorienting yourself to the angle.
  7. Repeat steps 5-6 until you have crossed the room back to your starting point.

Variation: with a Longsword or Sidesword

  1. In this variation, omit the advancing and retreating steps.
  2. As you complete each triangle step, step slightly further in the direction you are travelling than with the other foot.
  3. Accompany each triangle step with a mandritto roverso.
